Reasons for a tax increase: For a complete description of the Town Council’s discussion concerning the proposed tax increase, you can read the council’s meeting minutes dated June 4, 2024. Minutes are found on the Public Notice Website.  The Public Notice Website can be accessed on the Town’s website under the “Government” tab at the top of the home page and then click on “Agendas & Minutes.” On the bottom of that page you can “Browse for Notices” by locating Clarkston under “Municipality.”

Utility Billing Changes

Billing with Waste Management

Beginning October 1st, the base amount for services on your town utility bill will be as follows:

              64-gallon can       96-gallon can

         Water:        35.75                    35.75

     Garbage:        23.00                    24.00

             911:          3.00                      3.00      

Greenwaste:          1.00                      1.00

            Total:      $62.75                 $63.75

  • If you would like a different size can, you may exchange your can free of charge by taking them to Waste Management, located at 2385 North 200 West in North Logan. If you want Waste Management to pick up and deliver cans to you, it will cost $45.00.
  • Logan City is currently doing a rate study and will more than likely raise their rates as of January 1, 2024, so the above garbage rate may be affected.
