Clarkston provides culinary water but no wastewater treatment (sewer). Each home or business is responsible for obtaining the necessary permits for installing a septic system. Contact the Bear River Health Department for information.

Culinary water is provided at a base rate of $35.75 for the first 70,000 gallons per month. For nonresidents, the rate is $55.75.

Garbage and Recycling

We contract with the Logan City Environmental Department for waste collection and recycling. Waste is collected every Monday in Clarkston while the recycling bin is picked up every other Monday. Please note that recycling is mandatory and the fee is $3.00 per month. You can find the recycling schedule here.

The fees for garbage and recycling are listed in the monthly utility bill that Clarkston mails. Currently, a 60 gallon bin is $16.75 per month while a 90 gallon bin is $19.00 for residents. For commercial entities, the 90 gallon bin is $16.00 while a 300 gallon bin is $73.71 per month.
