Clarkston provides culinary water but no wastewater treatment (sewer). Each home or business is responsible for obtaining the necessary permits for installing a septic system. Contact the Bear River Health Department for information.

Clarkston Town offers online bill pay for utilities. There is a one-time account set-up fee of $25.00 that will be added to your first bill.

Culinary water is provided at a base rate of $35.75 for the first 70,000 gallons per month. For non-residents, the rate is $55.75.

Garbage and Recycling
We contract with Waste Management for garbage collection and recycling. Garbage is collected every Monday and recycling is collected every other Monday. Please note that recycling is mandatory. You can find the recycling schedule here.

The fees for garbage and recycling are listed on the monthly Clarkston utility bill. Currently, a 64-gallon bin is $23.00, and a 96-gallon bin is $24.00 for residents. Commercial entities are billed directly by Waste Management.
